We receive the wood with the bark still on and our craftsmen use a draw knife to skip peel the bark by hand, leaving a very rustic appearance which many people prefer.

Finally, turned lodge pole furniture is created from pine as is the skip peeled furniture. Turned lodge pole logs are sent through a machine doweller, giving each piece a uniform size. Each piece is cut to exact dimensions, making it easier to work with allowing turned lodge pole furniture to be less expensive than the other types of wood.
